Favourite Editorial of 2009

This is my favourite editorial from 2009! I'm not usually a huge fan of Tanya Dziahileva but here I think she's amazing! The whole thing is just perfection in my eyes.

Uptown Girls

You've probably all heard that actress Brittany Murphy has died. It's so sad, not only because she was so young, but also because she was a great actress. I absolutely love her in Girl, Interrupted (one of my all time favorite movies), and Uptown Girls. When my mom and I heard the news we decided to watch Uptown Girls as a little tribute to Brittany. I hadn't seen it in awhile, so watching it tonight reminded me of two things: 1. It's a really sweet movie (I cry like a baby at the end) and 2. Brittany's clothes are awesome in it! They're quirky and cute, exactly like her character. I put together a few pictures from my favorite scenes in the movie. Enjoy :)

La Veste

I originally wanted to post something to do with winter or Christmas, but I was in a summery (and not to mention Daria) mood! This editorial is from Vogue Paris March 2009, and despite the fact that the styling is pretty over the top I kind of like it. It's almost a little bit ironic. Anyway, for those of you who aren't into cold weather, I hope you enjoy this!

Wild Things with Abbey

One of my favorite models in one of my favorite editorials from Dazed & Confused in '09. I love the "Where the Wild Things Are" concept as well. Who can resist a beautful girl in a horned crown!? Not me, that's for sure.

Anja & Fibi

Have you guys seen the videos of Anja Rubik and her rat Fibi? Fibis no longer alive, :( , but the videos are still up and they're adorable! It actually makes me want a rat! Anja had a tattoo of Fibi done on her wrist after she died, as a tribute to how much she loved her. ENJOY!

RIP Daul Kim

This breaks my heart. South Korean model Daul Kim passed away on November 19, 2009 in Paris. She was one of the top asian models working today, doing all the big shows in NY, Milan, London, and Paris. She seemed so full of life, but clearly she was carrying a lot of pain as well. I hope you find peace Daul. <3
